As most of you probably know, Janeane Garofalo is a 3rd rate comedian, but did you know that she is also a graduate from Hogwarts Academy, the school that Harry Potter studied in?
During her interview with Keith Olbermann, in which she discussed the nationwide Tea Parties, she demonstrated her mastery of spells and incantations, such as her use of:
1. The magical word "racism," which closes discussions without the use of facts and logical arguments.
2. The label "redneck" to discredit other people without addressing the merit of their ideas. Evidently, Ms. Garofalo did not heed the warning of her professors that this powerful spell has the dangerous side effect of inducing hypocrisy in its users.
Other frequently used magical words are "change" and "diversity" which elicit support of "progressive" policies while avoiding a discussion on their real outcomes.

Ok. Now that you've called Janeane out for overgeneralizing, have a look at yourself, do you do this too?
ReplyDeleteThe issue is not generalizations, it's Janeane's use or unfounded derogatory terms instead of addressing the merit or lack of merit of the arguments of the tea baggers. If Janeane would have presented some concrete evidence and sound argumentations to show that they were "racist rednecks," I would have accepted her generalizations, but she has nothing to go on.
ReplyDeleteI think you addressed your dislike of claims of racism and her lackluster comedic talent rather than actually discussing whether or not there was any visible racist element at the rallies. So, tit for tat.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to your question - I did not see any racist displays at the Chicago Tea Parties, nor was I presented evidence that there were any racist displays at any of the other Tea Parties.
ReplyDeleteJaneane Garofalo has displayed that she is an absolute moron,and has no idea what is on the mindof the real Americas. I don't know if shw is constantly high on something, or just plain stupid. But, she is not connected with the real world.
