Experts forecast that in 2009 one of the few high growth industries will be BIO Hazard Clean Up, in which highly trained professionals locate and neutralize Bullshit Instituted by Obama.
A clean up crew discovered a huge pile of BIO in Obama's plan to increase Americorp's budget to $1.13 billion and its membership from 75,000 to 250,000 members. The crew emphasized that volunteering and social service are overwhelmingly positive social phenomena; the BIO lies is Mr. Obama's costly drive to increase the involvement of government bureaucracies in volunteering, when there are already thousands upon thousands of 1st rate non-governmental organizations that offer ample volunteering opportunities. And with the cost per participant estimated (by the Government Accountability Office in 2000) at $23,426, we can be certain that the vast majority of NGOs are able to accomplish a lot more using a lot less resources.
Coupled with Obama's decision to reduce the amount of money that Americans can write off for charitable contributions, which will certainly lower the level of charitable giving, this reflects his drive to nationalize and bureaucratize charity, social responsibility and civil society. And on a deeper level, this reflects Obama's very raison d'être (reason of being) - his drive to shift more resources and responsibility from the private to the public sector. But at least he's creating new jobs through for the BIO Hazard industry...
