Mayor Daley announced his plans to install cameras in the offices of all Chicago politicians starting with his own. He stated "for years we have subjected the citizens of our fine city to cameras, to ensure lawful behavior. We've are debating whether to expanded this to include the documentation and fining of motorists who do not have car insurance. Fair is fair, so in order to ensure the lawful conduct of public servants we installed cameras in the offices of each and every politician and city worker, starting with me. Any city worker official in acts of corruption, nepotism, sloth or incompetence will be recorded and fined. After reviewing several hours of recordings from my own office I was horrified by my own behavior and have decided to resign from office.
