Although I disagree with most of the "progressive" platform, there are areas were the conservative and "progressive" vision intersects, there is a common ground. In particular, many "progressives" and conservatives are aghast at how the federal government has transferred billions, if not trillions of dollars of the American public's wealth to connected banks and corporations. In the following clip, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont (who describes himself as a "social democrat") grilled Bernanke on what happened to the bailout funds.
