Zombie Cheerleaders...

I am a long time listener of NPR. During the Bush years they provided healthy scrutiny towards government policies. I very much hoped that they would demonstrate the same in-depth scrutiny for the Obama administration.

But, without a doubt they have become uncritical supporters of Obama, substituted adulation for serious investigation. I am not a fan of FOX, but at least they are openly biased, whereas the zombie cheerleaders at NPR try to hide their partisanship behind intellectual language.

  1. I read that both CNN's and MSNBC's ratings are down significantly in January. I think it's Obama-fatigue. And also in fearful times people want information not cheerleading.

Senator Graham pointed out how far from campaign pledges Obama went during his big speech. During the campaign he expressed openness to the wisdom of offshore drilling and nuclear power as part of becoming energy independent. Not a word about either during the speech. That's the kind of thing that will never be pointed out on NPR.

Ironically, it's all the liberal networks that create the stunning success of Fox News. Fox has a monopoly on center-right coverage.
